Sometimes the way a building material performs doesn’t matter when weighed against other considerations. It doesn't matter when contractors can’t get the product delivered fast enough to stay on schedule or when they can’t integrate the product into their building. Some contractors may even choose an inferior product if it can be delivered and integrated more easily.
We get it. Since FSorb was started by builders, we know the pressure of keeping a building schedule. When we designed our sound panels, we extended our design process beyond the manufacturing phase and into the logistics of delivering and installing them. We knew engineering the best sound panels had to include making the panels easy to buy and simple to integrate.
The Value of Availability
Making any product readily available in all markets across North America requires some planning. For sound panels — which need a lot of storage space and come in a variety of colors, shapes, and thicknesses — these logistics matter even more.
FSorb’s distribution and manufacturing facility in Washington State is where we fabricate and inventory our ½-inch panels in all 24 colors. We also store 1 and 2-inch panels in all of our standard colors. We use historical sales minimums and maximums to set our inventory levels so we can always ship them quickly.
But one location in one corner of the nation can’t always meet the demand of an entire continent, so we’ve built a network of distribution partners led by people who know their local markets as well as they know the value of FSorb panels. These centers set their inventories based on their local sales volumes.
They also stock complementary products, like acoustical ceiling suspension systems, ceiling tile adhesives, screws, and fasteners, so they can help builders avoid delays caused by waiting for these products.
With these resources at the ready, FSorb panels can be delivered to almost any North American job site within a week.
What About Shipping Out Customized Products?
It’s one thing to stock standard panels and installation supplies. What about the array of customized sound panels FSorb customers can choose from?
Multi-panel assemblies, such as Silentline Baffles, Quietgrid Clouds, and Serenicloud Suspended Clouds, are pre-engineered designs that can be produced with less lead time than our competition. We can also create unique elements in our custom shapes division, and we can cut, inlay, or score almost anything that you can imagine. We’ve invested in a fleet of cutting and shaping equipment so we can deliver customized items to our customers quickly.
When you buy FSorb products, you can expect the best sound shaping technology in the market along with reasonable lead times.
The Value of Simple Integration
Standardization is one of modern society’s most important achievements, but it’s something we tend to take for granted. Without standard sizes, gas pumps (or charging connections) may not fit your new car and appliance cords may not fit your home’s outlets.
As consumers, we’re accustomed to buying products that fit standards, but contractors can’t assume all building materials will integrate with other materials. Contractors sometimes need to alter some materials to make them work with other building materials.
When Doug Bixel founded FSorb, since he was a builder, he knew this reality creates delays and frustrations for contractors and their customers alike. He wanted FSorb panels to make contractors’ lives easier – not complicate them further.
By creating sound panels and an installation process that fits seamlessly with standard building materials, construction methods, and building codes, FSorb has succeeded in this goal. Buying FSorb panels will save contractors time and money.
Since standard building materials are used, contractors know how to install the systems and building officials know how to inspect the systems – allowing for quick installations and shorter lead times. Incorporating standard and available products to attach and suspend FSorb products also provides better aligned layouts, fewer attachment points, easy layout, and many other labor and material savings.
This value of simple integration, which is baked into every FSorb panel, creates value across the entire building or renovation project by saving time, cutting materials costs, and easing frustrations.
The Value of Finishing a Project On Time or Early
When combined, FSorb’s nationwide availability, along with its seamless integration into standard building practices, can keep construction projects on schedule. This value of staying on schedule and finishing a project on time can be enhanced by our panels themselves.
For example, we don’t apply a facing color to our panels because each panel’s color stays consistent throughout the product. This gives builders and designers the ability to cut and shape FSorb panels without affecting their appearance, saving the time typically spent waiting for custom-cut panels to arrive.
Installers can even assemble our fabricated products with pre-engineered designs — like Silentline Baffles, Quietgrid Clouds, Shikiri Screens, and Tairu Wall and Ceiling Tiles — on the job site. These designs pair panels with quickly installing suspension systems to produce complex effects and some of the best sound absorption in the market.
If these built-in values aren’t fast enough to keep your project on schedule, we can speed up the process even more for a premium on the order. Let your local agent or our staff at our Woodinville office know you need an expedited order.
FSorb: Fast, Simple — and High Quality
Fast lead times, flexible installation methods, and adaptability — these are qualities some builders may associate with a product that meets only minimum performance standards.
FSorb turns the table on this assumption. Our panels create the values of speed and simplicity while also providing some of the best sound-shaping technology in the market. This is true because we believe speed and simplicity should be part of the expectations customers have for the market’s best product.
Properly shaping sound in a building creates a more peaceful environment which leads to better working conditions and customer experiences.
FSorb panels blend recycled and new PET plastic fibers that melt at different temperatures. This naturally binds panels during the manufacturing process, eliminating the need for artificial binders that release volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into a building’s environment.
We’ve also earned the Buy American designation which means our products and materials are responsibly sourced and safely made by people who earn a fair wage. Then, at the end of your FSorb panels’ life, which we expect to be a long time from now, the panels can be recycled and turned into water bottles or new sound panels. There’s no reason for any FSorb panel to enter a landfill.
